Below is a sample menu.  Items can change daily according to availability of fresh local produce.

Three course menu at £29.95, two courses (starter and main) at £27.00 and two courses (main and dessert) at £25.50.  One course (main only) £19.95. Minimum cover charge, £19.95.

 

STARTERS

 

Creamy smoked haddock chowder.

Luxurious salad of poach salmon and shrimps with Marie Rose sauce.

Platter of smoked salmon with a whisky and dill dressing.

Crayfish and chorizo risotto.

Queenie scallops with a lemon and saffron sauce.

Local mussels in white wine, cream and herbs.

Roasted garlic soup.

Thai crab fishcakes with pickled cucumber salad and

hot and sour sauce.

Spicy Thai style salad of pan-fried fillet of beef with chillies, sweet soy and coriander on marinated bean sprouts.

Grilled goats cheese served in a tartlet with a compote of berries, toasted hazelnuts and finished with a raspberry dressing.

Cream garlic mushrooms served with dressed salad leaves and a slice of our crusty home-baked bread.

Smooth chicken liver pate with fresh leaves and Cumberland sauce.

 

MAIN COURSES

Seafood spaghetti of mussels, prawns, monkfish and scallops in white wine, cream and herb sauce.

Monkfish wrapped in Parma Ham on a sundried tomato risotto.

Baked hake and crab with a thermidor sauce.

Pan-fried king scallops in a lemon and saffron sauce.

Grilled sea bass with garlic butter and prawns.

Chef’s platter of flounder, sea bream and mussels with garlic butter.

Slow cooked lamb, chicken and black pudding in a rich red wine and brandy sauce, finished with a white onion sauce.

Fillet of beef topped with melting St. Agur and served with a rich wine and whisky sauce flavoured with crushed black peppercorns. (£3.00 supplement)

Fillet of beef topped with garlic butter and prawns. (£3.50 supplement)

Half a crispy duck served with a sweet oriental plum sauce.

Pan-fried chicken breast served with either a piri-piri sauce, or a white wine, mushroom and cream sauce.

Sun dried tomato risotto with mushrooms and asparagus.

 

All main courses served with either a selection of fresh

vegetables and new potatoes, or French fries.

DESSERTS

Creme brulee flavoured with Madagascan vanilla pods and accompanied by a tropical fruit salad.

Chocolate brownie served warm and topped with our vanilla ice cream and crème anglaise.

 Creamy mascarpone cheesecake finished with fresh strawberries and strawberry coulis.

 Traditional toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and our vanilla ice cream.

 A trio of selected flavoured sorbets.

A tasting selection of specialist Welsh and continental cheeses selected for us by Blas ar Fwyd.

 Italian double chocolate torte served warm with vanilla ice cream.

 

Service charge is not included and left to guest’s discretion.
