Chef Proprietors Don & Gill Hadwin We extend a very warm welcome to you. Our motto is, "Fresh, local produce prepared with love, thought and care." Don has had a passion for cooking for as long as he can remember and as a child his favourite television programmes were "Fanny Craddock" and "The Galloping Gourmet." He was the first boy at his school to do domestic science (after a long-fought battle with the headteacher, Mr Crofts, who said that boys didn't do cooking!) After passing this "girls" subject with flying colours, Don went on to train at the 5 star Hotel … [Read More...]

No 7 Church Walks is a Grade II Listed Building. The Seahorse is a 50 seater restaurant with two contrasting dining rooms. Downstairs is an intimate bistro-style dining area which offers a more informal atmosphere. Original oak pews and priests’ chairs make surprisingly comfortable seating. The original Victorian stone walls have been restored to their former glory and give warmth and character to this cosy space. The upstairs dining area seats 30 people. The feel here is definitely “Victorian” with comfortable red leather chairs, red and cream tablecloths and many of … [Read More...]

Date of review: January 2012. I have to be honest, I have been coming here since it was under its former owners and was known as Richards Bistro, it was great then and it still is now under its current owner, Don who has re-named it Seahorse. His passion for fresh fish is easy to see when you visit. Dishes change quiet literally by "the catch" and this is one really great thing abiout this place - for much of the year Don actually catches much of what he cooks! The meals are set price with loads of choice for fish meat and veggie eaters. I certainky recommend you to try the Viatnamese Fish Cakes, the thai beef salad and the seabass with prawns in garlic butter, my daughter, a confirmed rare/blue steak eater tells me the steaks are always great and cooked just how you ask for them. This is not the cheapest place in Llandudno, but it is only a few pounds a head more than a rival nearby but the quality difference is amazing. The service is always nice and always enhanced by Don actually coming around the tables towards the end of service to ask people if they have enjoyd their food. Downstairs is always a nicer feel than the "overflow" upstairs, which just lacks a little of that bistro feel. This place is and has been consistent over the years, which can be rare in restaurants in holiday towns, It is very popular with visitors and locals alike and you often have to book - a great sign! Not surprising then that people keep coming back!
Reviewed 5 February 2012 We ate here last night with my family for a birthday dinner . The food was the best I have ever had in N Wales . Lots of selection and more vital great staff and owner .Nothing was too much trouble at all. The fish was local and just fab! Worth us driving 200 miles for the meal!
Reviewed 5 February 2012 Both the food and service were excellent. I only had time for one visit but my colleagues were able to eat there twice lucky them.
